There are a couple steps to making sure a Docket Update is turned off.
If you turned off Docket Update notifications without turning off the Update Schedule, you will still incur PACER fees, even though you're no longer receiving email notifications.
To check if this is happening, click on the Calendar icon next to the case you suspect is still running updates. If the Schedule icon in the drawer is set to anything other than Manual, you're still incurring fees.
Click Manual to stop the regular Docket Updates on your behalf.
To turn off a Docket Update, make sure to complete these steps in order:
- Click on the Calendar icon next to the case on your My Cases page
- Set the Update Schedule to Manual
- Toggle Docket Updates OFF to stop receiving Notifications
In order to stop incurring charges on a Docket Update, you must turn off the Update Schedule by setting it to Manual before toggling the Docket Update setting OFF.
