How do I search for a case or party?

Find out how to search for and bookmark a case on PacerPro.

PacerPro is an overlay to PACER - meaning you can search for any case in a federal district, bankruptcy, or appellate court. You can also run PACER Case Locator searches on PacerPro.

To run a search:

Click on the Search icon on left toolbar
If you know which court the case you're looking for is in, select District, Bankruptcy, Appellate or JPML

Tip: You can select multiple courts if, for example, you know the case is in either S.D.N.Y or E.D.N.Y., but you're not sure which.

If you don't know which court the case is in, or if you want to run a nationwide litigation profile, select PACER Case Locator
Choose to either search by attorney or litigant name or by case number (not available for PCL)
Enter a valid client/matter number (required if your firm requires a client/matter number for PACER searches)
