How to configure email alerts and document management system uploads
Access Case Settings
From My Cases or All Cases, click on the Team icon to the right of the case title.
Set email delivery preferences
Use Case Settings to choose email delivery preferences for case team members for the PDF2Go and Case Update services.
For an explanation of the icons on the Case Settings drawer, please see this article.
Set a Client-Matter Number
Most firms require you to enter a client-matter # on a case to download documents and run case updates. When you enter a client-matter #, two things happen:
- PacerPro will check to make sure that the format matches PACER's requirements.
- Note, however, that we don't yet confirm that the format matches your firm's specific PACER client-matter # format requirements.
- [DMS integration customers only] PacerPro will check to makes sure that there's a matching client-matter workspace on your Document Management System ("DMS").
For more information about client-matter numbers, please see this article.
Set a file attachment format (individual documents or combined PDF)
PacerPro now offers the option of an "individual" or "combined" PDF attachment for PDF2Go emails and DMS uploads. If you select the "combined" option, PacerPro will create a single PDF file for all documents associated with the docket entry. You can set separate configurations for PDF2Go and your DMS.
Important notes:
- Whatever setting you make will apply to all members of your distribution list.
- This feature is currently available only for federal cases.
- If you don't see this feature when you're logged into PacerPro, please contact your PacerPro account representative or support@pacerpro.com.
Select a case to upload to your DMS
[DMS integration customers only] You can now select a case to upload to your DMS. Simply:
- Enter a client-matter #
- Enable on DMS upload.
- Select the file format (combined or individual PDF)
- Press "Start Auto-Upload"
Available case filings will start uploading within a minute to the DMS folder displayed on screen.
